Mastering the Mic Workshop

June 25, 5:30 – 6:45 pm, followed by the regular open mic

Location: Freddy’s Brew Pub, 948 McCurdy Rd #124, Kelowna, BC V1X 2P7

A microphone is arguably the most significant tool on stage.  It’s a direct line of connection between you and your audience, and if used well, your audience will follow you where you want to take them.

But too often audiences find themselves frustrated, trying to figure out what the artist or band wants them to think about or sing, because they can’t understand what they are saying from stage.

If you want your audiences to listen more closely to you, sing louder with you, and be inspired by you, they need to be able to hear you.

Communicating clearly with a mic isn’t complicated, but it does take practice, and key techniques to master to make the most of its power.

This workshop is a chance to hone your mic skills, increase your stage presence, and take care of your audiences by allowing them to hear what you have to say.

Facilitated by Storyteller, Singer/Songwriter/Podcast Host Michael Averill, and Creative Okanagan Executive and Creative Director, Karma Lacoff Nieoczym.

Limit of 12 participants.
