Andrew Smith Trio at 8 pm
Funky Folk and Jazz – Featuring Bruce Wiebe on guitars and Scott Gamble on drums.
Andrew Smith is an award winning singer-songwriter, a captivating tap-style guitarist and is one of the few Canadians to have won the prestigious Kerrville Newfolk Songwriting Competition in the USA. His concerts reflect influences as diverse as Django Rheinhart, Bruce Cockburn, Dave Brubeck and James Taylor. Scott Gamble is an award-winning drummer/percussionist, and local legend. Comfortable in any style, he has performed with many amazing groups of all genres from jazz to reggae, metal, folk and musical theatre. Bruce Wiebe is an exceptional electric guitarist who has forged his own signature sound – expressing his love of many styles of music. He enjoys collaborations, finding space in the music where his playing can live.
Kailee Duggan at 7 pm
Kailee Duggan is known for her captivating melodies that blend poignant lyrics with catchy hooks, compelling listeners to tap their feet to even the most melancholic tunes. Influenced by Norah Jones, The Beatles and Bahamas, Kailee has developed a smooth and soulful folky/pop sound that is uniquely her own. Partnering with multi-instrumentalist D’Arcy Booth, Kailee is currently in the studio with accomplished producer and musician Andrew Judah, with an album set to be released later this year.
