The Board of Directors announces that Karma Lacoff Nieoczym will be leaving Creative Okanagan effective December 19. Karma has made the decision to step down to pursue the next chapter in her professional journey.
During her tenure, Karma has been an exceptional leader — guiding Creative Okanagan through the last decade, leading major projects such as BreakOut West in 2018 and 2023 in Kelowna, and building a strong successful partnership with the City of West Kelowna in producing their Music in the Park program. She’s been instrumental in developing a variety of artist development workshops and programs for local musicians to strengthen their musical and business skills and led our recent mentorship program as part of the Canadian Country Music Awards hosted in Kelowna. The Board is deeply grateful for her dedication, vision, and the lasting impact she has had on our mission and community.
We wish Karma every success in her next chapter and look forward to celebrating her contributions with our community.
The Board has initiated a transition plan to ensure continuity of leadership and a smooth handover of responsibilities.
