jam session settings. Through hands-on exercises, guided practice, and real-time collaboration,
participants will learn essential improvisation techniques, how to listen and respond musically,
and strategies for joining and contributing to group performances. Whether you’re new to
jamming or looking to refine your skills, this workshop provides practical tools and a supportive
environment to build confidence, creativity, and connection through music.

Global Percussion & Rhythms of the World is a dynamic and inclusive course open to musicians
of all levels, exploring the rich rhythmic traditions of Middle Eastern, African, and Latin music.
Through hands-on learning and guided instruction, participants will discover foundational
drumming techniques, signature rhythms, and the cultural contexts behind these global styles.
This course offers a unique opportunity to expand your musical vocabulary, develop timing and
coordination, and incorporate diverse rhythms into your own playing, all within a supportive and
engaging environment.
