On August 22nd the City of West Kelowna’s Music in the Park, presented by RE/MAX, welcomes Shalisa and Jese Lawrence.
Opening: Jese Lawrence
Jese Lawrence is a passionate Singer/Songwriter from southern British Columbia, Canada, blending country, folk, and blues. Drawing from his upbringing on a farm and his experiences as an Army vet and wildland firefighter, Jese crafts heartfelt and authentic music. His latest single, “Count On You” is available on Spotify, and he’s currently working on new music, with multiple singles set for release in 2025.
Having performed extensively throughout the Okanagan area, Jese captivates audiences with his mix of original songs and Americana covers. Dedicated to his craft, Jese is excited to continue sharing his passion with audiences everywhere.
Headlining: Shalisa
Shalisa is a bold and authentic pop-country artist whose music empowers and connects through raw, relatable storytelling. With a sound that blends soul, rock, and country, she crafts songs that celebrate life’s highs, navigate its lows, and inspire self-belief. Her latest single, Bad Hangover, has grown her audience from hundreds to thousands, earning praise for its vulnerability and strength. Joined by her talented bandmates, Danny McBride (formerly with Chris de Burgh) and Torrey Woody (formerly with Ancient Engines), Shalisa delivers a powerhouse trio performance full of energy and harmony. Grounded in authenticity and balance, Shalisa is dedicated to creating music that resonates with the heart, empowering listeners to embrace their true selves.
